Anyway Mouth, it's time to show you around this lovely world of ours! Let's get going!
Why is the BFDI Mouth Everywhere? is a short released on November 21, 2022. It showcases multiple examples of where BFDI mouths have been used around the Internet in an in-universe manner.
The short starts with Golf Ball spotting Firey and Flower playing on the Winner's See-saw. Firey and Flower proceed to tell her that she cannot join, as the see-saw is for winners only.
Golf Ball leaves to her lab where she tells Tennis Ball that she has hired Nine to assist with using the Ideamaphone, a device that can create anything the user requests.
The scene cuts to Firey and Flower playing on the Winner's See-saw. Flower comments about how happy she is to not be on the Runner-up See-saw. The picture pans to Leafy and Gelatin, who are standing next to a destroyed Runner-up See-saw. Bubble asks them if she could ride the see-saw, to which Gelatin responds by freezing her and angrily telling her off.
Golf Ball and Tennis Ball approach the Winner's See-saw to show something that 1up's it. Golf Ball proclaims that a "winning smile" is the best thing in the world before showing off what the Ideamaphone created - a version of the "iconic smile" (one of the BFDI mouth assets), personified. Gelatin, Firey and Leafy are very impressed by Mouth, to the point where they abandon their see-saws. What follows is a slideshow of Mouthy and the characters in different iconic BFDI locations, as well as screenshots of YouTube thumbnails and real-world prints that utilized BFDI assets.
Mouth then begins to start eating contestants and buildings, starting with Tennis Ball and Match's factory. Mouth eats various contestants before finally being stopped by Leafy feeding it Yoyleberries and Gelatin injecting it with Freeze Juice. Finally, Mouth is placed on the Winner's See-saw, and Golf Ball launches it into the sky, causing it to shatter upon landing.
Golf Ball reveals that she had a remote that could deactivate Mouth at any moment, and the entire ploy was just so she could use the Winner's See-saw. Leafy reveals that the reason the Winner's See-saw is only for winners is that the world will end if a non-winner uses it. Golf Ball refuses to believe this, but right after she says this, the Earth poofs away. The short ends with Golf Ball, Leafy, and Gelatin floating in space.
Nine is referred with she/her pronouns instead of he/him.
This marks the first time that feminine pronouns are used to refer to Nine.
This the fifth short of BFDI to be released in 2022 if both parts of BFDI: Twosday are counted as separate shorts. If not, fourth.
This the first (and presumably only) 2022 short to be animated in the original Season 1-3 style.
However, Nine, Two, and Four are still in the BFB/TPOT hand-drawn style, which is not using X Finds Out His Value style.
This short brings attention to the cause of the BFDI smile mouth asset being used so widely in non-jacknjellify or object show-related content.
Assuming the BFDI world uses the same telephone keypad layout as the real world and Match has not finished inputting Two's phone number before the sequence ends, the first 71 digits of Two's phone number is 18567273531762727353176272735317627273531762727353176272735317627273531.
As the sequence "7273531762" is repeated however, Two's phone number could just be 18567273531762. If not, the scene is likely a joke.
If slowed down by around 30 to 35 percent of it's original speed, Match's sped-up phone dialogue could transcribe as:
“
So I'll be just keep talking really fast like this, and then it keeps talking, then it'll stop and I'm gonna keep talking, I gotta be talking and it...
”
Continuity references[]
Golf Ball stating that swing sets are "so 2013" is a reference to the beginning of "Get in the Van" and its release year.
Firey and Flower using the winner's see-saw refers to how they both won Seasons 1 and 4 respectively.
Likewise, Leafy and Gelatin "using" the runner-up see-saw refers to how they both placed second in the first and fourth seasons.
Bubble was also at the runner-up see-saw, due to placing third in BFDI. However, she was still technically a runner up, as She, Firey and Leafy were up in the final voting period to win the first season.
He even says the line, "That's better", a reference to "Get Digging" where he does the same thing with Evil Leafy and the "There isn't enough room up here" gag after he pushes people off Puffball, from "Get in the Van".
Flower twitches her eye in reaction to Golf Ball's statement, referencing the infamous post-Cake at Stake twitches in episodes 3, 4, and 5 of BFB.
Firey called Golf Ball her nickname "Bossy Bot" from BFDI/BFDIA.
Leafy, Firey and Gelatin talk over each other when Golf Ball asks if her invention is the greatest in the world. This references the many time the contestants talked over each other after the Announcer in BFDI.
This is the second time Gelatin has cried, the first time being in "The Escape from Four".
The Summit of Yoyle Mountain, the Archaic Temple, and the Volcano from BFDI 23 are shown in the montage of Mouthy being shown around the world.
The sequence with Match and her Matchstick Factory is a reference to "Aw, Seriously?", and it implies that the two episodes take place in the same universe.
Firey loosely alludes to his fear of heights when he says the see-saw launches people really high and says it's dangerous because Golf Ball could have gotten hurt.
Golf Ball's failsafe remote recycles the asset of the Emergency Button.
When Golf Ball is screaming "You have been replaced!" to Nine the pose and the leg limbs are similar to when Ice Cube was screaming to Pin "I want to go to Match's dance party too!!!" in "Get in the Van".
Cultural references[]
As this short revolved around the fact that BFDI assets have been used everywhere, some well-known YouTubers were included in the slideshow within the short as they have used BFDI assets before. These include, but are not limited to:
Matthew Patrick from The Food Theorists (2:17, Cheetos are Cow Food!)
The Nostalgia Critic by Channel Awesome (2:19 - 2:20, S8E32 - Smurfs, S12E20 - X-Men)
PopularMMOs (2:23, Minecraft: BIRTHDAY CAKE CHALLENGE GAMES - Lucky Block Mod - Modded Mini-Game)
SSundee (2:24 - 2:25, THIS IS SO BROKEN!)
Deaths[]
Tennis Ball (offscreen), Flower, Ruby, Four, Two, Nine, and Firey are all eaten by Mouth.
Mouth gets shattered after being catapulted in the air by Golf Ball.
Everyone except for Golf Ball, Leafy, and Gelatin, poof away shortly after Golf Ball uses the Winner’s Seesaw.
