The yellow tomato was the "cake" given to the winner against the 30 recommended characters that got the votes to join Battle for Dream Island in the Cake at Stake for "Reveal Novum" which-so happens to be David. It splattered on David's face when the Announcer threw it at him. It was recommended by epiczano.
Apparently, no one likes yellow tomatoes as they showed disgust to it.
Yellow tomatoes appear again in "Well Rested" where it was shown to reverse the Yoyle Metal effect of Yoyleberries.
In PointyPointyPointy ♫, there was a slot in the prize wheel which mentioned these.
In We're Not Friends, Pin ate an entire stash, Leafy ate one to cure her metal effect due to Pin spinning the prize wheel and finally obtaining the yellow tomato.
Blue tomato[]
The blue tomato is, by it's name, a blue variant of the tomatoes. It makes its first appearance in "We're Not Friends", alongside a multitude of other tomatoes (orange tomato, purple tomato, pink tomato, green tomato, and light blue tomato).
As demonstrated with Leafy, eating a blue tomato causes one of the consumer's eyes to fall off.
In theory, if the yellow tomatoes and blue tomatoes have their own unique effects, every other tomato might has it's own effects too.
