Appearance[]
They are, as the name suggests, based on the Arabic numeral zero. They have gray bodies and slightly lighter gray limbs.
Personality[]
Each Zero has a different personality, but they do seem to have some common traits. Primarily, they are known to take action when nobody else would, such as in "Pie vs. Pi: The Pi Day Massacre", where a Zero decided to take the Division Symbol to get rid of Pi when Two, Eight, and Six wouldn't do anything due to the situation being "Not [their] problem", and in "Thanks for 2,763,000 Subscribers!", where they are the only ones with a concrete plan to stop the Thing.
Zeroes 2 through 5 appear to get along perfectly, acting in sync and being mostly interchangeable. However, they are shown to have always been at odds with Zero1. VHS tapes from their youth show that Zero1 has been incompetent and humiliated himself, whereas the other four have been talented and successful. This has led to Zero1 being insecure in his position as leader and thus bossy and short-tempered with his fellow Zeroes. As a result, they generally dislike him, and take pleasure in returning his mistreatment when they get the chance.
Powers and abilities[]
- Disappearing Numbers:
- If another number is divided by Zero, they will disappear, as seen in "Pie Vs Pi: The Pi Day Massacre". It is not known what happens if Zero is divided by Zero.
- When Four was multiplied by Donut (which looks like a zero), they were absorbed into Donut, because anything times zero is zero. It is likely that multiplying a number by Zero will do the same thing.
Coverage[]
A Zero first appeared in "The Number Playground Chronicle!", where they were a former athlete being interviewed by Octahedron Polyhedron. In it, Zero describes how to put on a "talking uniform", including an exact 15-step instruction and a disclaimer that having any attached objects touch the ground will result in a 60-year prison sentence. It is unknown which Zero this is—it may be a different one from the five later seen.
Five Zeros appear in "Thanks for 600,000 subscribers!". In that video, they stand next to Six to show the Jacknjellify subscriber count. This marks the first appearance of multiple Zeroes.
The Zeroes appear again in "Thanks for 700,000 subscribers! (Leafy Plush & BFB 22 on July 24)", fulfilling mostly the same role as they did in the previous video.
They appear again in "Thanks for 800,000 subscribers!", mainly fulfilling the same role as they did in the two previous videos. They appear to be upset when Seven gets kicked.
They make another appearance in "Thanks for 900,000 subscribers!", mainly fulfilling the same role as they did in the three previous videos.
Zero and their clones appear yet again in "Thanks for 1,000,000 subscribers!", mainly fulfilling the same role as they did in their previous appearances. They did not compete in BFPTM10.
In their appearance in "Thanks for 1,500,000 Subscribers!!", the Zeros finally stand up for themselves, finally talking for the first time in the subscriber milestone specials, saying that they can draw the new milestones on a whiteboard.
In "Thanks for 2,000,000 Subscribers!", the Zeros stand near the whiteboard for three days "Like [they usually do]". Much to Two's chagrin due to them being in the whiteboard in fear of punishment for letting Fourteen run wild and the integers mistakenly putting Seven in jail along with one of the divided Fourteen Integers.
In "Counting on Christmas", a Zero sings alongside the other algebraliens, wanting it to snow.
In "Pie Vs Pi: The Pi Day Massacre", Pi was divided by a Zero, causing them to disappear.
In "Thanks for 2,763,000 Subscribers!", the Zeroes receive their first major role. They are first seen running up the stairs of their base, with one of them carrying a box of video tapes. While Zero1 walks down to catch a fallen tape, the others take a snack break in the kitchen, This quickly ends as Zero1 catches up and reprimands the others for taking a break in such a critical time. They then send the others down a toilet to the bunker, while they themselves take the train to have some alone time.
After inviting Six in and having the other Zeros clean up the base, Zero1 manages to send out a broadcast to the other algebraliens. In the meantime, they set out to find among the various tapes one which will tell them how to defeat the mysterious thing. The other Zeroes and Six eagerly set out for this task, as it becomes clear the vast majority of the tapes are actually humiliating footage of Zero1, For much of the rest of the episode, the Zeroes and the various algebraliens making their way into the base watch these tapes as entertainment, much to their leader's disgruntlement. This culminates in them locking up Zero1 to watch a particularly embarrassing moment, which enrages him to the point of breaking out and destroying the TV.
After Seven shows up, the Zeroes opt to go upstairs to use the base's TV. There, they watch the video on 2,763. Before they can finish, however, the entity itself breaks in and captures all of the algebralians except for the Zeros, leaving off on a cliffhanger.
