Zombies are a species in Battle For Dream Island and Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two. Zombification spreads when someone is bitten by another Zombie. An outbreak began and (presumably) ended in "Outbreak At Stake".
Spread[]
In "Outbreak At Stake", after Barf Bag was emptied, she collapsed and so the contestants decided to try and find a way to make her wake up. Tennis Ball comes up with two ideas, either to kill and recover her, or fill her up with the vomit left in the volcano by Rocky. Black Hole insists that they shouldn't kill her, and instead just fill her up with vomit from the volcano.
After being filled up, Barf Bag became green, with white, gaping eyes and a drooling mouth. She went up to Pen, biting him on the arm, making him undergo the same transformation. Soon enough, Puffball and Coiny were bitten, and all the failed debuters were infected. Whilst announcing the contest, Two was snuck up on and bitten by Barf Bag, sending them into a strange, mindless state. Over time, many contestants and failed debuters were either killed and/or infected by the zombies, leaving very few survivors by the end.
Golf Ball and Tennis Ball were attempting to figure out how to cure the virus, when Teardrop fell into Barf Bag, curing her. The duo decided to use all of Barf Bag's barf, combined with Teardrop to cure all of the zombies, however Two caught and sent them to the elimination area before they could continue curing people. Luckily, the barf fell into Yellow Face's hands, and so him and his team cooked it into steaks and fed some zombies, curing some people and later fed the other remaining zombies with everyone now cured.
In "Oneirophobe's Nightmare", while Needle and the rest of her team are in Barf Bag's nightmare, affecting her body with different liquids, Needle pours Lava, before saying "Maybe lava is a bad idea." In the outside world, Barf Bag once again becomes a Zombie, up until Gaty pours gasoline and throws in a lit match, causing Barf Bag to breath fire temporarily while also reverting her back to normal.
Characteristics[]
A zombified object retains their appearance, but their bodies will turn a sickly green and their eyes and mouths become diluted.
In BFDI 22, they looked like normal objects, but with "Zombie" written on them.
When another object is bitten by a zombie, they will turn into a zombie themselves. Zombies are depicted to be rather strong, possessing the ability to rip up Yoyle Metal; however, they cannot bite someone who is Yoyle metal which leads them to tearing them up instead. If it's a mechanical mind, they will either try to bite the victim to infect them or straight up kill the victim.
They also know how to read and type, as Zombie Rubber Spatula recovered Snowball using the TPOT Recovery Center.
In "Outbreak At Stake", Barf Bag was turned into a zombie due to being filled up with lava-infused vomit. When turned pure, like when done using Teardrop, this zombification will be reverted. The cure can then be distributed through any way possible.

The zombies are always seen trying to infect the non-zombies and if they cannot be infected they kill them instead.
Robot Flower[]
Robot Flower decides the zombies are the cooler team and joins them, and is not infected due to being a robot. While Battery tries to bite her and she slams them on the ground they are never seen feuding again.

Trivia[]
- Barf Bag, Coiny, Eraser, Ice Cube, Pen, Puffball, and Snowball are the only contestants to become zombies.
- Camera and Nonexisty are the only failed TPOT debutants to not have been shown to be infected, neither were shown uninfected either. It's possible neither of them got infected, only one did, or they both did.
- Shampoo and VHSy were only shown after they got infected.
- Conch Shell, Clapboard, Rubber Spatula, Kitchen Sink, and Anchor were shown before they got infected and after, but not while they were bitten.
- 9-Ball, Anchor, Avocado, Battery, Boom Mic, Coiny, Ice Cube, Income Tax Return Document, Kitchen Sink, Leek, Onigiri, Puffball, Salt Lamp, Scissors, Shampoo, Tape, and VHSy weren't seen being cured from the infection.
- Aside from Coiny and Ice Cube, it is currently unknown if these characters have been cured or not.
- In Category One we see Battery, Leek, Shopping Cart and Boom Mike normal so it is presumed that the rest were cured offscreen.
- Coiny was killed by Pin. It's likely he was recovered and sent to the elimination place by Two since he was eliminated earlier at Cake at Stake.
- Ice Cube shows up cured in Oneirophobe's Nightmare
- Snowball wasn't shown to be cured until the following episode.
- Blender, Rubber Spatula, and Snare Drum weren't shown while they were cured either, but they were shown to be eating the steaks infused with Barf Bag's vomit, and later shown to be cured.
- Zombies are immune to zapping, as Golf Ball shot Zombie Pen's cap with a Zap Ray and it didn't disintegrate. It's possible this even means they're immune to Four's zapping.
- It is also implied that they're immune to other side effects/death methods, since Golf Ball said none of the gadgets in Basketball's Aboveground Factory work.
- However, this may just be that the devices were non-functional.
- Zombies also appear to be immune to glue, as when the failed TPOT debutants were bitten by Pen, they unstuck to the roof.

- Mechanical Minds seemingly can't become Zombies, since when Battery tried to bite Robot Flower, she didn't turn into a Zombie, and Pen broke TV by hitting him with Snare Drum instead of biting him.
- It also seems they can't bite people who are made of Yoyle Metal, as when Avocado tried biting Snowball while he was made of Yoyle Metal, nothing happened, until Onigiri and Rubber Spatula ripped him in two and recovered him and bit him again.

- Two is the only zombie to speak in English, and the only zombie not to be actively hostile, as they sent Gaty, Golf Ball, and Tennis Ball to the Elimination Space instead of infecting them, though they were unaware of this.
- Barf Bag is (presumably) the only Zombie to not have been bitten before turning into a Zombie.
- So far, her and Conch Shell are the only two Zombies to have been cured in a way other than by eating a steak.
